11/07 –AKA Broker talks about Technology at IBTR Luncheon

Please join us on Monday November 19th when we present at the Insurance Brokers of Toronto Region’s luncheon about how brokers can take better advantage of technological opportunities via the Internet. Xaine will be speaking about how to best position, support and promote your brokerage online, and share a few case studies that illustrate how some brokers are integrating Web-based technologies into their business models.

11/07 – AKA welcomes New Vice President & General Manager

AKA is delighted to welcome Bruce Morrison to its Senior Executive Team as Vice President & General Manager. Bruce brings a wealth of experience including 13 years at Ticketmaster as Senior General Manager (Ontario) and National Director of Operations. He has also held positions at Centrepointe Theatre (Ottawa) and the Ottawa Shakespeare Festival. With his proven track record of client satisfaction and overseeing new product and service deployments, Bruce will be a certain asset to AKA and its clients.

10/07 – AKA Broker launches new “Professional PLUS” Edition Web site

Due to an increased demand for additional features, we are now pleased to offer a “Professional PLUS” Edition Web site. This will include our “Professional Edition” Web site package, along with: a Flash Animation Home Page, roll-over DHTML menus throughout the site, an updateable Home Page snippet and a separate “Claims” section.

10/07 – New Multimedia Library added to the IBAO Web site

Working closely with AKA Broker, IBAO continues to enhance their online presence for both broker members and consumers. For consumers, recent enhancements include a new Multimedia Library that features videos of insurance brokers explaining their important role within the insurance industry, as well as IBAO sponsored public service announcements (PSA’s) in support of OSAID (Ontario Students Against Impaired Driving).

This charitable non-profit organization raises funds to support those in need, which have been recognized by the insurance industry. The organization's core mission is to focus on an individual, group or charity that would not readily be recognized by fund raising groups, who focus on one particular cause.
